Get answers to common questions about Freestyle Tribal Braids - Medium - Mid Back.

With proper care, these braids usually last four to eight weeks. Longevity depends on hair texture, how fast your hair grows, and nightly maintenance. Regular scalp moisturizing and minimal manipulation help preserve neatness. A touch-up may be recommended for optimal appearance.

Hair is not included in the listed price. We sell braid hair for $6 per bag in our shop if you need extensions. Final price may change depending on design complexity and required amount of hair for your chosen style.

Arrive with clean, detangled hair and no heavy oils to ensure a secure braid. Bring reference photos and any extension hair if purchased. Plan for the appointment time needed; complex tribal designs may require extra consultation to confirm placement and price.

Wait at least 48 hours before a full wash to allow braids to set. Use a gentle, diluted shampoo and focus on the scalp; rinse thoroughly and air-dry or use low heat. Avoid heavy conditioners that can loosen braids and weigh extensions down.

When installed correctly and not too tight, tribal braids act as protective styles reducing daily manipulation. Improper tension, prolonged wear, or neglect can cause breakage. Communicate comfort preferences, moisturize the scalp, and remove braids within recommended timeframe to safeguard natural hair health.

Pricing varies by design complexity, braid size, and time required. The listed price may change based on custom tribal patterns and additional hair needed. Hair costs are separate ($6 per bag available in-shop). We provide final estimates during consultation before service begins.
